I must have a very short memory....
Just two years ago I went camping at the beach in January to see if I could survive. The plan was to camp in my little popup A-frame camper by night and walk along the ocean by day. I called it My Intentional Camino:
Then yesterday after talking it over with my daughter, I picked up the phone, called a few parks, and made my 30 day reservation. Coincidentally I'll be starting on the very same day as last time: St. Marianne Cope's Feast Day, January 23rd.
But there really aren't any coincidences, are there?
And this time I am planning to bring my 8 month old golden retriever pup Evie along as a walking companion and bedwarmer extraordinare!
When I told my mother about it this morning, she asked, "Will you try to walk 500 miles? And will you blog about it so that I can come along in spirit with you?"

Hmmm...sounds like a dare. Five hundred miles over a 30 day period might be a bit ambitious for me, however the point is really to leave your everyday circumstances and set out on a spiritual journey to bring you closer to God.
Besides, the minimum distance to obtain your Camino credential is 100 km or 62 miles. Surely I can do that!
And so, I'm in!
Are you?!
